The cave of Antiparos is located 8 km from the Chora of Antiparos and is the only vertical cave in Europe. The cave is also called "St. John's Cave", while you will find the oldest stalactite in Europe which is estimated to be 45 million years old.
The inscriptions on the walls of the cave prove that there were visitors, dating from the Neolithic era. Some of these visitors are: Alexander the Great, King Otto and the lyric poet Archilochus of Paros.
Going up to the cave, you will enjoy the view of Paros, the endless blue of the Aegean, the beach of Soros.
